FMEA, or failure mode analysis is a process of identifying all possible failures in designing or manufacturing process of a product.

“Failure modes” are the ways in which a production process might fail, detecting any errors or defects along the production process which might affect the final customer. Each failure or defect is then prioritized according to how serious their consequences are, their frequency, and how easy they can be detected. Actions are taken to eliminate the failures upon detection and prioritization, starting from the most serious ones.

The FMEA process is used when new/ existing products are designed/redesigned and when analyzing failures in the production process. The sooner the failures are discovered, the faster our engineers can find a solution and resume the production process.
